Andrej Tisma graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague, Czechoslovakia in 1976.
He has been holding solo exhibitions since 1972 (Novisad, Belgrade, New York, Milan, Seoul, Munich, Naples, San Francisco, London, Budapest, Tokyo, Bremen).

Since 1969, he has participated in about 600 collective exhibitions in Yugoslavia and about 40 other countries.
He has an interest in music fields such as concrete poetry, mail art, photography, performance, electrography, video and web art.

He has been involved in the international mail art movement since 1974 and has held about 20 mail art exhibitions in Yugoslavia and Canada.

Since 1996, Andrew Tisma has devoted himself to web art.
His web art work is exhibited at the Whitney Museum of American Art's Net Art Idea Line in New York, USA.

Rhizome Artbase, New York, USA; Net Art Guide, Stuttgart, Germany; Irish Museum of Modern Art, Dublin, Ireland Net Art Collection and more.

And he attended the Ars Electronica Festival in Linz, Austria.
He also begins to work in the music field.

He has published art criticism and essays abroad in Yugoslavia since 1976.
His collection of articles, essays and rubber stamp works was published by the Stamp Art Gallery in San Francisco in 1996.

Under the pseudonym Andrej Zivor, he has published prose and poetry in Yugoslavia and abroad (US, France) since 1977.

Andrej Tisma is a member of the Web Biennial Advisory Board
He lives and works in Novi Sad, Serbia.
